Pay money in Japan to go to school

Pay money in Japan to go to school?
I was wondering in Japan, do you have to pay money to go to school? If so how much does it cost? Do you have to pay money to buy the School Uniforms? Or is it just all free? Please answer my question. WARNING: DO NOT GIVE ME --LINKS--. I DONT WANT LINKS!!

Everything isn't free, if you are rich or have supporter it's not on your cost

Yes, you have to pay school tuition for junior high and high school because most schools require you to test into them. If you are not bright or are a disciplinary problem, you would go to the local area school who takes anyone. Yes, you have to pay for the uniforms and they are not cheap-that's why each student has one winter and one summer uniform.

Public elementary and junior high schools are tuition free. But you have to pay some cost like uniform, school lunch, club, trip and so on. Public high school, college, and all private schools require tuition. "How much" depends on each school.

Uniforms cost a bomb, even for the free schools. Some elementary schools don't require a uniform though, so that's not so bad. For the rest, you have to pay for the text and note books, and their lunches, although I believe it's possible to reclaim the cost of those and some school activities if you have a low income. Travelling to school might be free, or it might cost a lot if it's a long way away. Some kids use buses and trains to get there each day. I don't know if you can reclaim travel costs if you have a low income, but I wouldn't think so, unless there's no closer school. School itself is free if it's just an ordinary local elementary or junior high school. High school is never free as it's not compulsory. And I have no intention of giving you links, just the benefit of my humble experience.
