What would happen to a Korean girl when she goes to Japan?
Because I have a friend who's Korean and she's going to Japan on a school trip in September (she's 15).. She's so.. Nervous? Because apparently Japanese HATE Koreans (or so I've heard) And she's been asking me so much its a little annoying I think its because of that little island that Japan and Korea's fighting over for and the historic stuff about how Japan took over Korea and raped the women and killed lots of people

i don't think there's anything she needs to be particularly worried about. Japanese people do not generally hate koreans, that's not true. As long as she's being polite etc, i think she'd have a good time there!

Well, Japanese don't hate Koreans, it's the other way around, Koreans hate Japanese. Also Koreans are extremely racist. This makes them believe crazy things like the Japanese are inherently evil and want to rape and kill all the Koreans, not unlike how NAZI believed stories about Jews with magical powers that stole and ate children. I'm just talking about actual Koreans, not Americans.

There's nothing to worry about. I'm Korean and I frequently go to Japan. People might not really notice that she's Korean. Koreans are spread out in many places in Japan. And just like what the person above me said, Japanese don't hate Koreans as much as Koreans do. Even though I personally had a bad experience with some of them. This is the time to get over the past, forgive and forget.

You and the friend please worry about anything. The stupid leader at the time of the war was judged. The Japanese of the times of now accepts a non-humanitarian act by a cursed stupid leader at the time of the war. And to be a national level is the same human being except a country and culture and the difference of the leader. It says to have a preconception in the news and some critical opinions, and it is not a thing. I think that you cannot understand at the point in time of now, but my acquaintance comes to like Japan in a trip of one week, and he continue just living, and it is it in the tenth year. Please come to Japan by all means and want you to know a true Japanese citizen.

Ha ha, Koreans often assume that others think the same way as they do, and get paranoid, you know. Well, Japanese don't like or hate Koreans; actually, they're indifferent to the people. So, I don't think anything would happen if your friend behaved herself.

It is wrong that not all Japanese hate Korean. The proof is myself who never hate Korean. Some of Japanese hate you, but most of us Japanese don't hate you Korean. I hate the people who hate someone because he is Korean. But now the group called Zaitoku kai[在特会] may be dangerous. Some of them have injured some Korean whose ancester came from Korea before. Japan and Korea had an agreement in 1965 that Japan should pay so much money to Korea instead Japan must not apologize for merging Korea and crimes. I think many Korean don't know it because it is written that the agreement has been shown from 2005 in Korea in Wikipedia of Japan. A Korean with not knowing the agreement hate Japan because he thinks Japan never do anything as apologize. I think it is natural for him to hate Japan. Why there are some Japanese who dislike Korean is because they don't know the agreement was secret by recent days. But if the Korean who knows it increase, and the Japanese who knows the agreement was secret increase, I think Japan and Korea will have a good term more. So if you have a time that you don't have anything to do, could you please tell her that many Japanese never hate Korean and there is an agreement that reconcliation between Japan and Korea ?
